Medical representative’s suicide sparks off political row in Kurnool
Tirupati: The alleged suicide of a 27-year-old medical representative sparked off a political row in Kurnool. Satish, a resident of Sriram Nagar in Kurnool, was found to have died by suicide at his house on Sunday morning. Kurnool III Town police inspector Seshaiah visited the crime scene, shifted the body for postmortem and registered a case based on the complaint lodged by his father Balanna.According to the Kurnool police, Satish was distressed over a failed relationship with a woman, who lived in the neighbourhood. However, the woman earlier lodged a complaint against Satish, accusing him of harassment despite rejecting his advances. She and her father also sought assistance from a local politician to solve the issue. And when Satish allegedly died by suicide, the incident took a political turn when former MLA and YSRCP Kurnool district president SV Mohan Reddy accused the local TDP leadership of harassing Satish and influencing events leading to his death. The woman and her father denied the allegation that the local TD leaders were involved. Local TDP leader Gattu Tilak condemned the allegation, urging political leaders not to politicise personal matters.
